Ajith and Shalini fell in love while shooting for Amarkalam (1999). They got married in 2000. Though Ajith and Shalini belong to different religions, love bonded them together. Shalini quit the film industry to take care of the family. The lovely couple is blessed with a daughter Anoushka.
Besides acting, Ajith loves car racing and participated in car racing contests as well . He drove in Formula BMW Asia (2003) and Formula 2 (2010) races and proved his interesting in racing. Shalini, who is a homemaker now, is also a badminton player. She participated in a few state level tournaments and bagged many awards.
Ajith is gearing up for his 51st film Billa 2, directed by Chakri Toleti.
