Silambarasan TR must definitely be elated with the way his latest release, Maanaadu has been performing at the box office. Maanaadu which released on November 25 has turned out to be a sensational blockbuster with highly positive reviews flowing in from the critics and general audience. Following the success of Maanaadu, Simbu's next film is ready for release. Silambarasan TR's next release will be Maha, that stars Hansika Motwani in the lead role. Interestingly, Maha will be Hansika's 50th film and it is directed by debutant UR Jameel, a former associate of Lakshman.
Produced by Mathiyalagan under the banner of Etcetra Entertainment, Maha has music composed by Ghibran. The first single song from the film has now been released and this song is called 'Keduthuttiye', a fun romantic track crooned by Benny Dayal. Viveka has penned the lyrics for this song. Benny Dayal's energetic rendition and Ghibran's peppy tune make 'Keduthuttiye' an interesting number. The song has a fun vibe to it and it is going to be elevated to greater levels with the chemistry between the lead pair - Silambarasan TR and Hansika. Apart from them, the film also features Srikanth, Karunakaran, Thambi Ramaiah and Baby Manasvi in pivotal roles.
Maha has cinematography by Laxman, while John Abraham and Manimozhian Ramadurai have taken care of the editing and art direction departments respectively. The rest of the songs are expected to be released in the coming days. Maha is scheduled to hit the screens in early 2022 and a formal announcement on the release date is expected to be made soon. The teaser of Maha which released a few weeks before had garnered a good response among the film buffs and the teaser also suggested that the film will showcase Hansika in a completely different dimension.
