G. V. Prakash Kumar's Adiyae is out in theatres now and the National Award-winning Tamil composer-actor recently sat down along with co-star Gouri G. Kishan for an exclusive interview with Galatta to talk about the sci-fi rom-com, while also opening up about the projects that didn't materialize with 'Thalapathy' Vijay under National Award winners Vetri Maaran and Sudha Kongara's direction. Speaking about when he will be collaborating once again with Vijay, GV Prakash said, "It all depends on the directors. The films I did were all combination films. The two films I did [with Vijay] were my combination directors. Prior to [Thalaivaa], I did six films with A. L. Vijay and I worked with Atlee in Raja Rani. So, when my directors work with him, I'll get to know."

Upon being asked about his boarding a Vijay film under Vetri Maaran's direction, the Adiyae star stated, "There had been discussions regarding it for a long time, but it has to happen. The timing has to be right for both of them. Each of them has their lineups and a space should be formed for that to happen. If one of them is occupied, the other person cannot provide the dates. It has to happen at the right time." GV Prakash also shared how there were plans for different projects for Vijay with Vetri Maaran and Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara, which didn't materialize. He said, "Both the projects didn't happen because both of them were busy with their own things." When asked if he had any plans to act alongside Vijay, the hit music director said, "The character has to be apt for us and I should have scope in that role. When we commit to a work, it should be satisfying to us and then there's the factor of what we have contributed t that film. And, if something like that happens, we can."
