South African gospel singer Dumi Mkokstad and his wife Dr Ziphozenkosi Nzimande have announced that they are expecting their first child. Taking to social media on Sunday, the award-winning singer posted pictures of his wife's baby bump. Informing that their first child is a girl, Dumi revealed their daughter's name and wrote on Instagram, "So….. it’s been a few months 😊 We said our prayers unto the Lord and he provided…..but what I want to highlight is that I am so so so proud of my wife. The Lord blessed me with the most amazing human in the world. Thank you @dr_ziphozenkosi may the Lord protect you and our Princess. #LENAN’IZULU." Below is the post:
Likewise, Dumi's wife, ZiphozeNkosi Nzimande, too expressed her joy about her pregnancy during an Instagram Live session and said that she was grateful that the news is finally out in the open. She said, "I'm so glad I don't have to hide it anymore." Stating that she can move out in the open now, ZiphozeNkosi added, "I can finally take pictures. I've been hiding away from people at the mall." Explaining the meaning behind their daughter's name, she said it has been taken from a gospel song. She mentioned, "Lenani'Izulu means the heavens rejoice and the heavens agree. My husband sort of named her and that's the baby's name."
ZiphozeNkosi then thanked everyone for their love and said that their words of affection have not gone unnoticed. She stated, "Thank you for all the well wishes and the congratulatory messages. We are completely overwhelmed. We're so grateful to everyone. I know there were some people who were praying for us who haven't even met us, so thank you for all your prayers." ZiphozeNkosi also posted pictures from a maternity photoshoot on social media and once again reiterated her gratitude to fans. She said, "Our love made you 🤍 • There are many things I am grateful for, this exceeds them all 😭🤍"
Dumi Mkokstad, who is an award-winning gospel singer, is known for his songs like 'Mbize', 'Nanku Jesu','Getsemane', 'Hamba Mphefumlo' and 'Safa Naye', to name a notable few, while Ziphozenkosi Nzimande is a medical doctor, with the couple tying the knot in June 2019.
