Gautham Vasudev Menon is a popular director who has been acting in significant roles in many films recently. An independent album that has music composed and sung by him titled Muththa Pichai was released last week. Galatta Media did an exclusive interview with the sensational director turned actor on the sets of the music video for his independent album under his Ondraga Productions. The director shared some interesting details about his musical venture and about his acting. When asked how he feels about being directed by other filmmakers as an actor and about acting with actors who he has directed, he replied "once I get in it's been a very good experience, doors are opening and it was a learning to how other directors like Lokesh and Vetri Maaran handle the process."

Gautham Vasudev Menon then revealed a conversation with Trish from Leo. He said they discussion how himself and the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa actress have not thought that they would act together in front of the camera and joked about it. “It was fun, and acting with 'Thalapathy' was interesting. It was also challenging and I had many dialogues with him," said the director. He then shared about a funny moment with 'Thalapathy' Vijay saying "he asked me to tell Lokesh I will only do the scene if he gives the dialogue before, if he gave it now, tell him you won't do the scene, jokingly." The director then said in some scenes in some movies he felt sad why he did that film. He said “as an actor the first shot and some scenes there would be intensity and then it will go off and become mechanical.” he then said, “It's(acting) not my cup of tea”.
The upcoming film of director Gautham Vasudev Menon is the long-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram with 'Chiyaan' Vikram playing the lead role. Leo is one of the anticipated films that marks the second collaboration between 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj and the film is to release in October.
