Gautham Vasudev Menon is one of the leading directors of the Tamil film industry who has also been acting in many hit projects. The director recently launched a song titled Mutththa Pichchai which he had sung, composed and released under his banner Ondraga Productions. The filmmaker gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Media and shared some interesting details about acting in films and also decoded some interesting scenes for his film. The director shared about a scene from the hit film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa that he wrote but was not shot in the film. The director said “In the screenplay, it was present and in Tamil. We could not shoot the scene, but it is present in Hindi."

Gautham Vasudev Menon then shared about the scene saying it will happen when Karthik is shooting his film in Goa and Jessi leave her home telling a lie and goes in search of the hero. He said he had shown different modes of transport and she woud reach there after facing struggles. The director then explained the female lead will see the hero in a hotel and will see a girl and Karthik talking and she would pull him into the room. He added that Jessi will see that and realise there is no point now and will return and added that “he thought it was cliched but In Hindi, alone we added a scene where she travels and reached Goa airport and tries calling him. As he won't pick up she then leaves."
The anchor then asked if he would work with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in a love story. Gautham Vasudev Menon said “I would love to, sir would also look good, but the world around has some expectations”. He said he thinks his fans or the world around him would be expect it to be in a thriller zone or something like that. "So, I am afraid to even approach and like to work in my zone” said the director Gautham Vasudev Menon.
