Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film, Mr. Local, which also includes Nayanthara under M. Rajesh’s direction is a Studio Green venture and was initially announced to be coming out in theatres on May 1. That said, the reputed production house announced earlier today (April 19) that the rom com would hit theatres on May 17.
Meanwhile, Gautham Karthik’s Devarattam is a rural action entertainer directed by M. Muthaiah of Kutti Puli, Komban, Marudhu and Kodiveeran fame and, also includes Manjima Mohan as the female lead followed by Soori, Bose Venkat, among others in pivotal supporting roles. Expectations have been solid especially post the release of an action-packed teaser and promo videos for the film’s songs.
Featuring music by Nivas K. Prasanna, Devarattam also produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green banner has now been officially announced to be a May 1 release thereby taking the spot initially held by Sivakarthikeyan’s Mr. Local.
