Tamil actor-producer Vishnu Vishal's next big film, Gatta Kusthi, is gearing up for a big opening when it arrives in cinemas on December 2. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the upcoming bilingual sports drama film is also coming out in Telugu under the title Matti Kusthi and has been produced under the Vishnu Vishal Studioz banner in association with leading Telugu hero Ravi Teja's RT Team Works and is being released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies across Tamil Nadu. With promotions currently underway for Gatta Kusthi, the much-awaited trailer for the Vishnu Vishal-starrer, which also has youth sensation Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead, has now been officially released. It is to be noted Udhayanidhi Stalin is presenting a Vishnu Vishal film for the second time after he released FIR in Tamil Nadu earlier this year.
Gatta Kusthi is the second time Vishnu Vishal and director Chella Ayyavu have come together after their Silukkuvarpatti Singam in 2018 and the duo will be looking to hit the bullseye with their latest effort. Aishwarya Lekshmi, who has become a heart-throb among Tamil audiences after her portrayal of the Poonguzhali character in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: 1, has landed yet another strong role and she will be looking to land positive reviews for her performance once again. There is quite a lot of positive buzz surrounding Gatta Kusthi, especially after Udhayanidhi Stalin came on board, considering he has tasted huge success this year after distributing films like Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast, Sivakarthikeyan's Don, Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam, Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, Karthi's Sardar, and Love Today to name a notable few. Gatta Kusthi also has plenty of talented names in the technical department with music director Justin Prabhakaran, cinematographer Richard M Nathan, and editor Prasanna GK leading on the front.
