As with any Rajini film, the hype is always real and sky-high. The same can be said about his upcoming action gangster drama, Kaala.


Directed by Pa. Ranjith under Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films banner with music by Santhosh Narayanan, Kaala has an ensemble cast featuring talents like Huma Qureshi as the female lead, Nana Patekar in the antagonist role followed by Samuthirakani, Easwari Rao, Shayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Sampath, Aravind Akash among others in vital supporting roles.


Although initially announced to come after Rajinikanth’s 2.0, Kaala’s release has gained prominence after reports surfaced stating a lot of VFX and CG work on the magnum opus sci-fi action thriller remains pending.


Having said that, Dhanush took to his Twitter page moments back to announce the release date of Kaala, which will now come out on April 27. A smashing poster too has been attached to his tweet which you can check out below. 

This now confirms Kaala will indeed come out first with 2.0 most likely hitting screens sometime towards the middle of the year.
