A sensation in Philippines, the multi-talented Kim Chiu has garnered a massive fan following over the years after impressing everyone with her skills as an actress, singer, recording artist while also serving as a television host. She is hailed by the Filipino media as the 'Chinita Princess' while also attaining the distinction of 'Princess of Philippine Movies and TV' for a period of nearly three years. Kim Chiu's name has now trended worldwide after unidentified men began firing on the van in which she was sleeping while traveling, but was left unhurt by the rain of bullets that had come her way near Quezon City in Philippines last week.
Kim Chiu had then taken to her Instagram page to post images of the ordeal she had undergone while also penning a detailed statement explaining the horrifying incident. Kim Chiu's statement is as follows: "A lot of you have been texting and calling. can’t answer right now. Thank you for checking on me. Means a lot. Yes I am safe po. I’m ok and my P.A. And my driver as well. Papa Jesus protected us. I dont have an idea what really happened, mistaken identity? I guess?? Napag tripan?.. This is a bad joke. 6am on my way to taping, I was asleep inside my car then I heard several gun shots, 8 to be exact. I was shocked and ask my driver what happened, then I saw this bullet on the windshield where my head was laying “buti nakahiga ako.” Pano kung tinuloy ko magbasa ng script?... I was so scared, I dont know what to feel right now. Wala naman akong kaaway or ka atraso. Why me?. Kung sino man ang gumawa nito Diyos na ang bahala sa inyo dalawa at the end of the day inisip ko nalang walang nasaktan sa amin. God protected us. Salamat po,".
A week after the incident left fans of Kim Chiu in Philippines under shock, the 29-year-old star returned to social media and this time with yet another detailed statement which reads as follows: "It has been a week since.... that day made me realize life is really short, life is very precious and most of all felt God’s presence he protected me, my PA and my driver,. None of us was hurt. He is really powerful amongst us all. I must say it was a miracle. I could not explain the feeling but I know he was with us and so our guardian angels. I want to thank my AbsCbn family Direk Lauren Dyogi who picked me up at taping and secured my safety all through out and abscbn bosses Tita Cory, Sir Mark and Sir Carlo to my StarMagic family Tita Mariole and Mr M, my handler Ate Edith and my sister Ate Lakam, to my friend Ranvel Rufino for urgently went on set with lawyers with him thank you sobra sa inyo. So many people helped me get through this I am blessed to be surrounded with these kind of people they dont have to do this ang dami na nilang pinoroblema but still they insisted to help me. Now everything is slowly unfolding and I am glad that I am alive despite........ I realized a lot of things., you discover people who are willing to help, people who care for you and people who just wants to bring you down.
