Fahadh Faasil, who was recently seen in Anwar Rasheed’s Trance, will be teaming up with Sathyan Anthikad’s son, Akhil Sathyan in his debut directorial film. This film will feature Fahadh in a new dimension and a few interesting details about the project are now out. Fahadh will be playing a light hearted character in this drama that will have music composed by Justin Prabhakaran and production design by Rajeevan. In a recent interview with Times of India, director Akhil Sathyan was quoted as saying, “Fahadh plays a middle-class Malayali youth who is settled in Mumbai. The movie revolves around incidents that take place on a journey to Kerala.
In a bird’s eye view, this is an entertainer but at the heart of it, it’s a story between a young girl and an older woman, and how Fahadh’s character connects them both. The film’s focus is on the situations that Fahadh’s character gets entangled in during his journey. He starts from Mumbai, reaches Kerala and then heads to Goa. In Goa, we will be shooting in Vasco, which is a slum area but has a Mexican feel to it and the Russian mafia still operates from there. We are also filming on a serene, secluded island.”
This untitled film will have three leading ladies in the form of Anjana Jayaprakash (Queen web series fame), Viji Venkatesh and Dwani Rajesh. The makers are right now on a break and will resume shooting once the Corona virus outbreak situation is controlled. Additional update is that around 60 more days of shooting is left to be completed and the schedules will take place in Kerala and Goa. Looks like an interesting project is on cards!
