Fresh out of college, up-and-coming actress Palak Lalwani is basking in the glorious dazzle of tinseltown. Despite being three films old, she insists she doesn’t feel like a new kid on the block.
Palak Lalwani is waiting impatiently for audiences to watch her at work in Kuppathu Raja, starring GV Prakash, which also marks her debut in Tamil cinema.
Speaking about her role, Palak Lalwani in an exclusive interview to Galatta reveals how Kuppathu Raja was mostly shot in the background of a slum and that most actors were not real actors. She then added she observed people who knew about life in such areas and that watching their body language inspired her a lot to do the film opposite G. V. Prakash, Poonam Bajwa and Parthiepan under Baba Bhaskar’s direction.
Palak, who has worked in Telugu cinema before reveals the big difference she felt while transcending to Tamil cinema is the working style of the director, and not the language and that Kuppathu Raja director Baba Bhaskar, who didn't seem like a debutant filmmaker had everyone on their toes.
She further went on to reveal that she was how she was the only woman at the Kuppathu Raja set and that her entire hair and make-up was done by men.
When queried about GV Prakash, Palak Lalwani was all praises for the composer turned actor saying he is extremely talented, professional and patient on the sets. She further went on to complement GVP saying he was the complete package and there was so much to learn from him.
