Director-actor Cheran who is a four-time National Award winner and one of the crown jewels of Tamil Cinema has been taking some off from the main screen. Cheran last directorial JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai came out in 2015 had a decent run and almost after a four-year gap, the director is back.
Sources close to us have revealed that Cheran has completed his next film with Umapathy Ramaiah as the lead hero. Notably, Umapathy is the son of the popular comedian actor Thambi Ramaiah and has acted as the lead in the movie Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay which came out in 2017 and Maniyar Kudumbam in 2018.
An official announcement about the venture and the details of the cast and crew is expected to be made on Tuesday. The exciting venture is touted to hit the screens by January end.
