An event unlike any other in recent times, the Galatta Nakshatra Awards took place yesterday (05.04.2018) at the Lady Andal School auditorium, which saw reputed celebrities from the Tamil film industry as well as popular television personalities take part.
Yesterday also saw an important revelation in the form of director Atlee confirming the status about his upcoming project.
Atlee, who had participated in the grand event yesterday, was awarded with the 'Mass Director of the Year' award for his smash hit, Mersal, released last year.
Actor Simbu had presented Atlee with the 'Mass Director of the Year' award at the Galatta Nakshatra Awards ceremony.
While accepting his award, the Theri director spoke about his upcoming projects and went on to reveal his next would not be in Telugu as being stated by the media over this past week. Atlee went on to state his next project will be in Tamil after which he would go on to make a Telugu film.
The question that’s now on everybody’s minds is whether the Raja Rani director would join hands with 'Thalapathy' Vijay for a third time.
It must be noted the swashbuckling director had also registered the title "Aalaporaan Thamizhan" title from the song of his Mersal at the Film Chamber last year.
Whether this will be the project Atlee will begin work on or a newly titled film remains to be seen.
As for his Telugu film, Baahubali star Prabhas' name is doing the rounds to be the lead in the project.
