Emraan as Dawood Ibrahim

Emraan Hashmi is the next Dawood Ibrahim! Confusing? Emraan Hashmi will play a character based on the early life of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Milan Luthria's ambitious project Once Upon A Time in Mumbai.

Sources say that the film will be shot on real locations with hidden cameras so as to catch the public and Emraan unaware on camera. It seems the director has asked Emraan to lose weight to fit into the character perfectly.

Emraan's character in the film, it is said, has been delineated in a very “raw” manner. Reports say that the director is planning to shoot a chase sequence at Mumbai's Chthrapathi Shivaji Terminus (CST) with hidden cameras soon.

Elaborating on Emraan's role, director Milan said, “Emraan is my cousin and I can tell you, it is an ideal role for him.” As for shooting with hidden cameras, the director opined, “It will be one of the highlights of the film as we want everything to look as authentic as possible.”

Milan Luthria and Ekta Kapoor�plan to begin shooting the film next month.�Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi are in the lead roles.
