Blockbuster Telugu film production banner Sithara Entertainments surprised fans on Sunday by announcing their next big venture, which will be headlined by Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan, under hit filmmaker Venky Atluri's direction. The upcoming tentatively titled Production 24 will be produced by Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments in association with Sai Soujanya's Fortune Four Cinemas and will be presented under the Srikara Studios banner. It has further been revealed that the Dulquer Salmaan-Venky Atluri film will roll into production this October with plans to bring it out in cinemas worldwide as a summer 2024 release.

Dulquer Salmaan had an impressive 2022 appearing in films across four different languages starting with Hey Sinamika in Tamil, followed by the Malayalam crime thriller Salute, the Telugu period romantic blockbuster Sita Ramam, and Chup: Revenge of the Artist in Hindi. The superstar has garnered a big fan following in Telugu cinema over the years after his performances in the 2018 smash hit, Mahanati, and last year's Sita Ramam turned out to be phenomenal box office successes, while also fetching him immense critical acclaim, and he will once again be looking to come out firing on all cylinders for his new film with Venky Atluri this time.
Likewise, Venky Atluri too will be aiming for the bullseye once again after the staggering response to his Vaathi starring Dhanush and Samyuktha, which currently stands among the top ten Tamil films released this year. The period film released as a bilingual and in Telugu under the title Sir was also produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and the team will be looking to hit the high note once again. As of now, only Dulquer Salmaan's name is attached to the project and the female lead and the rest of the cast and crew details are expected to be announced as the film nears its production in October.
