Drummer Sivamani honoured
We always believed that 'Drums' Sivamani is the best drummer in the world. Now he has proven that he is indeed the best drummer. Last week, Zildjian, the world’s oldest drum manufacturing company, honoured Sivamani by affixing his autograph on each stick that they market. This is a tradition followed by Zildjian every year; selecting Sivamani this year is proof that our Sivamani is being recognized worldwide as one of the best drummers.
Sivamani began drumming at the age of seven and began his music career at the age of eleven. He later moved to Mumbai. Sivamani has worked with many notable music composers like Ilayaraja and A.R. Rahman. Films for which he has played drums include Roja, Rang De Basanti, Taal, Lagaan, Dil Se, Guru and Kabul Express.
