Viduthalai is one of the most anticipated films that is set to release this month. The film is set to release in two-parts, directed by national award winning Vetri Maaran, after Asuran which was a massive hit film that was released in 2019. It has created huge excitement among fans since announcement and has been in production for two years. The trailer of the film was launched yesterday in an event with the cast and crew and became a trending and viral video instantly.

Vetri Maaran gave a long speech at the Viduthalai trailer and audio launch and spoke about the actors in the project and his upcoming films. He said he just wanted to do an easy film after Asuran with low expectation and that’s why he chose Soori. The director said the project has become huge after that and become a two-part film. He then spoke about 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi. He said Bharathiraja was to do the role of Vaathiyar but couldn’t do it because of the location of filming and Vijay Sethupathi immediately agreed and worked for the film well.
The director of Viduthalai then spoke about how Chetan, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Rajiv Menon joined the cast he stated that he was surprised that Rajiv Menon immediately agreed to do the role. He then went on to thank every cast member, the producer and the technicians and stated that “for the first 10 days, I didn't know how to work in the terrain and it was a like an audition for me” He then spoke about maestro Ilayaraja who has composed music for Viduthalai and said it was interesting to see how he works for close proximity. He also spoke about writer Jeyamohan as the film is based on one of his short stories. He said "I am not an intelligent or a creative person but I have a logical mind and I am not afraid to put in hard work" and praised his team of assistant directors for putting in their hard work. When asked about an update on Vaadivaasal, Vetri Maaran revealed that “Vaadivaasal work will begin after the release of the two films (Viduthalai 1 & 2) and Vada Chennai 2 will be after that”.
