Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan is one of the most anticipated films of this year and the fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the film. Etharkkum Thunindhavan is directed by Pandiraj and has Doctor fame Priyanka Arul Mohan playing the female lead. Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, the film has music composed by D Imman and cinematography handled by R Rathnavelu. Etharkkum Thunindhavan was scheduled to release in theatres on February 4, 2022, but, the release was indefinitely postponed due to the third wave of Covid 19. Now that the Covid cases are coming down gradually, the already postponed films are working out on their new release plans.
Most of the movies have also confirmed their new release plans. SS Rajamouli's highly anticipated action drama, RRR will be releasing on March 25, 2022. Having said that, rumours were recently rife that Etharkkum Thunindhavan might go for a direct OTT release and this news worried the fans.
