Pa. Ranjith has grown to become a leading director of the Tamil film industry as fans await to see what's in works in the net project of the director. He has delivered hit after hit films from his debut Attakathi, to Madras, Kaala, Kabali, Sarapatta Parambarai, Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, etc. The upcoming film of the director is Thangalaan. The first look from the film was enough to create a huge excitement about the project. The project has a star cast of 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy and British actor Daniel Caltagirone. The film is produced by Studio Green K.E. Gnanavel Raja and Pa. Ranjith's Neelam Productions.

The Director Pa. Ranjith addressed the press and media earlier today and shared interesting updates about his upcoming projects. Speaking about Thangalaan, he said “We have finished a huge chunk of shooting in KGF, 55 days we did our filming there. This is still 25 days of shoot left. I think it will be over by May. It will be a very interesting and much-liked project by the people. We have done great hard work. Shooting the movie was not easy, there were big struggles, We worked accepting the struggles and many of them supported us. Every individual worker has put in hard work in making the film. definitely, it will one of the most famous films for the people." When asked about its release. The director said "I expect it will be released by the end of this year because there is huge VFX work for the film. That process will take time."
When asked about his next project with Kamal Haasan. The director said “I am writing the story for the film now, after this film (Thangalaan) is over, we will know. Because, I am working on the script now. I think it will take some time."
