After a long gap of 4 years, director Cheran is back to the den, with Thirumanam, that marks his directorial return. It stars Umapathy, son of actor Thambi Ramaiah in the lead role. Suganya, MS Bhaskar, Manobala play supporting characters, alongside Cheran.


The film had recently completed its censor certification process, coming out with a clean U certificate. The makers have now announced the theatrical release date of the film. This emotional family drama will be hitting the screens on March 1, 2019, alongside few other Kollywood releases. A new poster with the release date was officially released by the team of Thirumanam.


The teaser and the trailer of Thirumanam fetched a good response from the audience who expressed their happiness about seeing a Cheran film after a long time. The trailer of the film has crossed over a million on YouTube.
