Actor Dhanush set the bar high for his contemporaries in the Tamil film industry after winning the National Award at such a young age few years back.


He simultaneously made heads turns in Bollywood with films like Raanjhanaa and Shamitabh.


With 3 Tamil films in production now - Vada Chennai, Maari 2 and Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Dhanush’s highly anticipated Hollywood film, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, has finally landed a release date when a teaser was unveiled last night. Directed by Ken Scott and being distributed by Sony Pictures, the film is based on the book titled "The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe" and had been announced to hit screens in France on May 30.

Jointly produced by Brios Films, Vamonos Films, M! Capital Ventures, Little Red Car Films, Impact Films, Aurora Global Media Capital, Scope Pictures TF1 Studio and Aleph Motion Pictures, the Indian release date of The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is expected to be announced in the coming days.
