Dhanush is a true star in the sense that he is not just an actor but a director, producer, writer and singer, all in one! He rocked the screens and the Box Office with his latest offering - Asuran, with director Vettrimaaran. This actor-director duo is pure gold as Asuran marked their fourth project together and just like their previous three, this too turned out to become a blockbuster. Following this, Dhanush worked on Pattas with director RS Durai Senthilkumar and is now shooting for the next leg of his other movie - D40. This project, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, completed a lengthy schedule in the UK before now moving to Kombaipatti, in rural Tamil Nadu.
The D40 team is currently canning some important portions in the Kombaipatti village and Dhanush took some time off to visit the nearby Palani temple, which is famous for being one of the Aaru Padai temples of Lord Muruga. Dhanush visited the temple with his wife Aishwarya and sons Yatra and Linga! Dhanush's sudden arrival caused quite a furore with his fans thronging the temple and mobbing him to take photos and to shake his hand. However, the temple authorities escorted Dhanush into the temple safely and after he offered his prayers, made special arrangements for him to return, using the rope car. It is being reported that after Dhanush's visit, director Karthik Subbaraj also visited the Palani temple.
Dhanush fans are gearing up to start 2020 on a grand note with his Pattas scheduled to hit the screens on January 16th. This movie will see him portraying dual roles - of father and son, with Sneha and Mehreen Pirzada playing his heroines. Bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films, this movie has music by Vivek-Mervin and Tollywood actor Naveen Chandra will be seen playing the antagonist. D40, financed by Y Not Studios, is progressing rapidly and has Aishwarya Lekshmi & Sanchana Natarajan as the female leads, with popular Hollywood actor James Cosmo (of Game of Thrones fame) also being a part of the cast!
