Naane Varuven is Elli AvrRam's second film in Tamil after Kajal Aggarwal's Paris Paris, an official remake of Bollywood actress and Thalaivii heroine Kangana Ranaut’s Queen (2013), which is yet to be released. Selvaraghavan's latest tweet is already creating a debate among the fans about what the next update could be and many are speculating that it could be regarding the first single announcement. Currently, in the post-production stages, Naane Varuven is being produced by blockbuster producer-distributor Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations and will feature music by chart-buster composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.
For a while now, it has been stated that Dhanush will be seen playing a double role in Naane Varuven and it remains to be seen how actress Indhuja Ravichandran of Meyaadha Maan and Bigil fame will figure out in the story. It is to be noted that Selvaraghavan will also be sharing screen space alongside Dhanush for the first time ever apart from directing the film, which has only added to the excitement. Naane Varuven incidentally marks the reunion of Dhanush, Selvaraghavan, and Yuvan Shankar Raja a decade later after they collaborated in films like Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), Kadhal Kondein (2003), Pudhupettai (2006), and Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008).
