The newly released song Doobey from the upcoming romantic drama, Gehraiyaan, has the audience on their toes. Starring Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the dreamlike song is a great spectacle that takes us on an adventure with the two characters and features their growing affection as they fall head over heels for each other. The song is sung by Lothika, written by Kausar Munir, and musical duo Kabeer Kathpalia (OAFF) - Savera Mehta as composers. The video shows glimpses of their chemistry as they soar through and experience the euphoria of their illicit relationship uncaring of the consequences that lie ahead.

Looking past that, the video screams goals that every couple wishes they could have. It perfectly encapsulates the essence of how it feels to be passionately in love with somebody. Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi play key roles which focuses on their forbidden affair as they go on secret trips and getaways to be with each other without their better halves knowing. They breathe life into their characters with great finesse and take us on a journey along with them. We get to see their character’s initial development with one another which is amplified by the steamy chemistry they got going on.

They both give a great performance both in the song as well as in the movie, which we got a preview of from the film’s trailer. They have done justice to their characters as we feel their love, warmth, anguish and helplessness. They bring a very real sensation to the roles they play as we can empathize and relate to them on multiple levels. Gehraiyaan revolves around Alisha and Tia who are cousins. While Tia is dating Zain, Alisha is leading her own life with her boyfriend. Things go haywire when Tia introduces her cousin to her fiancé and a steamy affair ensues.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey with Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in supporting roles, the film is scheduled to premiere on 11th February 2022 on Amazon Prime Video. It is jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films.
