One of the most awaited films ever since the project flagged off filming, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Darbar being directed by A. R. Murugadoss under the Lyca Productions banner has massive expectations surrounding it. Announced for a Pongal 2020 release, the upcoming mass action entertainer will include music by composer Anirudh Ravichander after he delivered chartbuster hits in Petta earlier this year. With the third leg of filming currently taking place in Mumbai, it has now been revealed to us that director A. R. Murugadoss has planned a surprise from Darbar for Rajinikanth fans, which he will be releasing today at 4PM. Although not much is known about what the blockbuster director has planned, we can be sure it will satisfy ‘Thalaivar’ fans everywhere.
There is plenty to look forward in Darbar as Rajinikanth is donning the khakhi after a gap of 28 years when he was last seen as a cop in the superhit film, Pandiyan. Furthermore, the film also has Nayanthara, who is starring opposite ‘Superstar’ for the fourth time after their previous ventures, Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Kuselan. Bollywood stars Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar have been cast as the antagonists with fans awaiting a cracker of an entertainer considering the venture has a stellar technical team featuring the likes of cinematographer Santosh Sivan, editor Sreekar Prasad, art director T. Santanam, stunt choreographer duo Ram-Laxman, lyricist Vivek and costume designer Niharikha Bhasin Khan.
