Court stays release of Nirahua's Ho Gaini
Bhojpuri star Nirahua is in deep trouble. The actor's Holi release, Ho Gaini Deewana Tohra Pyar Me may not be releasing this Friday. The judicial court at Bhojpur (Ara, Bihar) has issued stay order on the release of the movie. According to sources, the problem is concerning the distribution rights of the film in South Bihar territory. The distribution rights were earlier given to Yashi Films which had paid a sum of Rs. 8 lakhs to Sanyogita Films as upfront money. However, it seems the producer has sold the film to some other distributor and this has created commotion in Yashi Film quarters.
"We immediately contacted the producers for a refund of our money, and when they failed, we were forced to move to court," said Abhay Sinha of Yashi Films. The Court has sent summons to the producer and the other distributor. As they did not appear to present their case, the Court has issued stay on the release of the movie. The judicial authority has also ordered to stop and not proceed further with the distribution of the movie. The next hearing of the case is scheduled on April 02, 2009.
The entire Bhojpuri industry has been waiting for the Holi bonanza from top three Bhojpuri stars – Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari and Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua. Now, with this legal problem, Nirahua's film may not release this Friday. This would indeed be a major disappointment for Bhojpuria community.
