J Jayalalitha, the CM of Tamil Nadu, will be inaugurating the Cinema Centenary Complex Phase I of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC), and laying the foundation stone for the Phase II of the complex, today.
Right from the time the CM came back to power last year, she has stayed away from attending any cinema related events, and following this, she will not be attending today's function also. However, Ms. Jayalalitha will be participating in the inaugural event through video conferencing, from the Secretariat itself.
This inauguration has been arranged by the President of SIFCC, C Kalyan, Vice Presidents M Balasubramaniam, Pon Devarajan, Thomas D'souza and Editor Mohan, along with the honorary secretaries L Suresh and Ravi Kotarakara. Many members of the South India Film Artistes Association, lead by its President R Sarath Kumar, are expected to take part in the event.
