CC2C makes 33 crores in the first weekend
The box office results are out and it is reported that Chandni Chowk To China (CC2C) has made a decent Rs. 33 crores in the domestic market during the first weekend inclusive of the Thursday previews.
One of the much-awaited films of this year, Chandni Chowk To China, was expected to have a rocking-start at the box office during the first few weeks. But things turned topsy-turvy, and the movie did not meet the expectations of most of the film critics and fans alike. Owing to this, there was a slow down in the film's performance at the box office. However, what was considered a big let-down has now concentrated to a decent Rs 33 crores. And this is a quite a fair performance, opine producers Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. India's director Neeraj Goswami says that he is happy with the weekend numbers and is hopeful that the movie will fare well during the full week. The fact that CC2C is just lagging behind the top 5 record weekend openers Ghajini, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Singh Is King, Om Shanti Om and Race, should be encouraging to the producers.
The movie is reported to have made about $117, 339 in Australia and is estimated to gross about $700,000 in the US market.
