CC2C cropps 2.5 minutes
Chandni Chowk To China has finally arrived. The premieres of the movie are happening at different parts of the world – right from the Steven J. Ross studio in LA on January 7th to a special screening in NY on January 8th to a premiere in Toronto on January 9th. Director Nikhil Advani and actor Akshay Kumar watched the movie with the audience for the first time in Toronto.
Sources say that the director felt that a certain portion of the movie wasnotvitalfor the narrative flow and insisted on removing it. It seems that the portion that appeared inessential to the director was a two-and-a-half-minute VFX footage. A perfectionist to the core, Nikhil did not want the movie to carry the “unwanted” 2.5 minutes footage. Though the producers (Warner Bros.) were a little hesitant to take up the task of recalling and editing the prints, Nikhil was insistent and hence, the producers had to bow to his demands.
After Salaam-E-Ishq, Nikhil is very meticulous in everything he does. Even an unnecessary 2.5 minutes seems to be a blemish which needs to be removed. Keep it up,Nikhil!
