One of the busiest and most prolific stars in the nation, Dhanush is at present attached to multiple projects after his Enai Noki Paayum Thota was announced for a release this Diwali alongside ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Sarkar.
That said, a video has now surfaced from the ongoing second edition of the Bigg Boss sets where participants namely Sendrayan, Janani Iyer, Vijayalakshmi and Riythvika are seen in an open discussion with each other.
During their discussion, we can see Vijayalakshmi reveal Dhanush is currently planning to direct a period film under his Wunderbar Films banner at an estimated Rs. 300 crore budget.
Furthermore, costume designer and director Vishnuvardhan’s wife Anu Vardhan will be taking care of the costume design in this upcoming 300 crore period directorial of Dhanush.
It must be noted Anu Vardhan has shown her costume designing prowess in blockbusters namely ‘Thala’ Ajith’s Billa and Arrambam.
She further established herself to be a powerhouse talent in costume designing after working in‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Kaala.
As of now, an official confirmation from Wunderbar Films or Dhanush is expected and as we wait, there are now reports and speculations doing the rounds stating the National Award-winning actor has begun recce work for his next project at Tuticorin.
Meanwhile, Dhanush's next big release will be Vetrimaaran's multi-starrer period action gangster drama, Vada Chennai, set to hit screens on October 17.
There's then the highly anticipated Maari 2, the sequel to Dhanush's smash hit 2015 action comedy entertainer, Maari, which we can expect to see on screens sometime towards the end of this year.
Finally, Dhanush's Hollywood project, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, which will be released in Tamil under the title, Vaazhkaiya Thedi Naanum Ponen, too awaits its release this year after its French-English version hit screens in France in May.
