The multi-talented actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter Satish Chandra Kaushik aka Satish Kaushik passed away on 9th March. The actor made his debut as an actor in 1983 Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and had also acted in serials. He was last seen in Prime Video web series Guilty Minds and movie Chhatriwali. The actor turned director with the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and was nominated in the best Directer category for Ham Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam. He also won Filmfare awards for his comedy roles.
Reports stated the actor-turned-director was at a farmhouse in Delhi’s Bijwasan and was rushed to a hospital in Gurugram last night after he fell ill. The Delhi Police have clarified that nothing suspicious has emerged on the death of Satish Kaushik. The actor arrived in Delhi to celebrate Holi with his friend and the last pictures he posted on his social media were from a Holi party at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azhim's house in Mumbai the day before.

Many of his friends, fans and well-wishers have shared their condolences on the death of the 66-years-old actor. Padma Bhushan awardee Anupam Kher was a close friend of Satish Kaushik and shared a photo of both of them together saying he could not expect the sudden death of his friend. "Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years! Life will never be the same without you!”said the actor in Hindi. Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Susmita Sen, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut, Neil Nitin Mukesh have all paid tributes to the talented artist and shared condolences on social media. India's Prime Minister also shared a tweet saying condolences and added "His works will continue to entertain audiences."
