Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil, directed by Atlee and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram's AGS Entertainment, is gearing up to hit the screens for Deepavali 2019. The film boasts of some big names in the star cast including Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Indhuja, Reba Monica John, Amritha Aiyer, Varsha Bollamma, Devadarshini, Indraja Shankar and others. The film also features popular Tamil speaker and orator Gnanasambandam, who has played the role of Nayanthara's father.

Talking about this in an exclusive interview with Galatta Media, Gnanasambandam told, "When news came out that I am acting in Vijay 63 (now Bigil), a new wave started to rise on social media. The wave became even stronger especially among the women when it was revealed that I play Nayanthara's father. It is a very big opportunity for me and I had a great time shooting with Nayanthara and Vijay. We had some nice funny conversations during the shoot.

The film has come out well. I am also acting as Suriya's father-in-law (Aparna Balamurali's father) in his next, Soorarai Pottru, and as Nivetha Pethuraj's father in Prabhu Deva's Pon Manickavel."
