Actress and model Gayathri Reddy announced her engagement on Sunday. Known best among Tamil cinema fans for playing the role of Maari in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Bigil, Gayathri shared photos from her intimate engagement ceremony on social media, with congratulatory messages and wishes pouring in from well-wishers and fans. Taking to Instagram, Gayathri shared pictures and wrote in the caption: "Hand in hand, you and me till the end❤️ 29-04-2022💍" along with the hashtags "#engaged💍 #mrstobe #newchapterbegins". As of now, there are not many details on her fiancé and we can expect the actress to share more about her would-be and the ceremony in the days ahead. Gayathri, who began modeling at an early age right from her toddler days, went on to become the finalist in the beauty pageant Miss India 2016. She later made her acting debut in Tamil cinema in the 'Thalapathy' Vijay box office blockbuster, Bigil, released in 2019. She played the role of Maari and garnered appreciation for her intense performance from fans, with many also complimenting her for her dedication in the sequences where she had to play football. Apart from the on-field scenes in Bigil, Gayathri also appeared in a number of key sequences alongside Vijay and the film's heroine Nayanthara. 

Outside of her role in Bigil, Gayathri Reddy has also appeared in a cameo in the 2021 horror-thriller film, Life, which premiered as a direct OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. She was also one of the contestants on the reality show Survivor, which was telecast on Zee Tamil last year.
