Maria Juliana became a known face to people across Tamil Nadu after participating in the mass Jallikattu protests in early 2017 and then went on to appear in the first season of the hit reality show, Bigg Boss, where she went on to earn the name, Bigg Boss Julie
Since then, Julie has gone on to land various endorsements including starring roles in films namely the in development ventures Amman Thayee, Dr. S. Anitha MBBS, Uththami including an untitled project.
That said, Julie’s name has been involved in a controversy over the past couple of days after she and her rumored boyfriend Rajhithibran reportedly got entangled in a brawl with a police officer named Boopathi outside the parking lot of the Egmore Metro Railway Station in Chennai.
It is said Rajhithibran was arrested after an argument led to a physical fight with Boopathi after which he was released without any charges. Meanwhile, there have been conflicting reports as to whether Julie was present at the spot when the tussle happened between Rajhithibran and Boopathi.
Now, Julie has issued a clarification in a video on her Twitter page stating, “I’m posting this video to clarify certain reports that are being spread in the media. I would like to state that the news is completely false as I was not at all present at the spot at the time of the incident and I have spoken to the people who published the news and they have since then removed it.”
She further stated, “In addition, there are a few others who are publishing the news without any proof from another batch of people who are giving it their own spin. This kind of action has given me a lot of pain I just don’t understand. How can you speak about something without any proof? Do you realize how much pain we go through when a news without any proof is published?” Check out her full statement in a video in her tweet below:
