Model turned actress Meera Mitun became a household name after appearing as one of the contestants on the ongoing third edition of the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss. Prior to her stint on Bigg Boss 3 and after her elimination from the show, she has been a subject of major debate especially with the number of controversies that are surrounding her. Numerous allegations have been raised by a popular event manager named Joe Michael of late across various social networking platforms. With the accusations against Meera Mitun gaining more steam, the Bigg Boss 3 star had in a press meet now addressed the long-standing controversy between her and Joe Michael where she stated, "I have to remind everyone here how this entire controversy started. It was me who had first filed a complaint against Joe Michael and, Ajith Ravi is the person behind all this commotion. They now claim a FIR has been filed on me just as they previously said that they filed other cases against me; all of which my lawyer has quashed,".
Meera Mitun then continued saying, "I came across Joe Michael’s statements he had made on various media platforms and I have been in extreme emotional pain since then. I want to ask whether or not this will lead to depression and what if I committed suicide? They can say anything they wish to about me, but they have been threatening my mother and brother as well. Goons have been coming to my house and threatening them. If you touch my family, they will soon get to know who I am. I have a special message to all those who speak negatively about me - achieve 10% of what I have done and then stand up to me and talk,".
