'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar is gearing up for a massive release this year and the first big action-packed visuals from the film are now out. A remake of the 2015 Tamil blockbuster, Vedalam, which had Ajith Kumar in the lead role, the upcoming Telugu film's teaser released on Saturday gave a glimpse of the colorful action that awaits fans in theatres starting August 11. The Bholaa Shankar teaser starts off by introducing Chiranjeevi in his mass avatar and speaking punch dialogues that go well in hand with his mass image and will no doubt appeal to his massive fan following.

The Bholaa Shankar teaser also includes National Award-winning Keerthy Suresh playing Chiranjeevi's young sister, while Tamannaah Bhatia is appearing as his love interest. The glimpse released also shows the huge scale in production by Ramabrahmam Sunkara's AK Entertainments banner, with the film also featuring an ensemble supporting cast that includes Sushanth, Raghu Babu, Murali Sharma, Ravi Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Tulasi, Sri Mukhi, Bithiri Sathi, Satya, Getup Srinu, Rashmi Gautam and Uttej in key roles. While Chiranjeevi in Bholaa Shankar is playing the role of Ajith Kumar from Vedalam, Keerthy will be seen in the character portrayed by Lakshmi Menon, with Tamannaah taking on Shruti Haasan's role.
Bholaa Shankar is Chiranjeevi's second big release of 2023 after he started the year on a high note with the staggering success of Waltair Veerayya, which was released on the festive occasion of Sankranthi. The upcoming film is the iconic Telugu actor's next big remake after his Godfather, which was based on Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's 2019 blockbuster, Lucifer. All sights will now be on how Bholaa Shankar featuring music by Mahati Swara Sagar fares in comparison to Vedalam and there are big expectations for the film to be a cracker of an entertainer along the lines of the Tamil version.
