Veteran director Suresh Krishna, who has been the jury of National Awards selection committee and is also the jury of International Film Festival of India, says movies are selected without any bias. “I personally don’t show any bias while selecting a movie. All movies, irrespective of the language are watched by each of the jury members with the help of subtitles. After watching the movies, we have rigorous discussions and hours of brainstorming before we zero in on a film.” he says.

“Biggest challenge is to judge a movie based on some standards. There are always different interpretations of a movie as different people are involved and coming to a conclusion is the most tedious task. Jury consists of people from different walks of life like writers, producers, novelists and so on, and so there is a lot of room for dialogues and discussions. It would have been difficult if it had been just filmmakers.” he adds.

Director Suresh Krishna, who is known for movies like Baasha and Annamalai, recently turned writer with the book My Days with Baasha. In the book, he has shared his experience of working with Superstar Rajinikanth.
