The Indian Government has issued a 21-day lockdown period for people in 75 districts across the country and almost everybody has no choice but to remain indoors! Different people are using this lockdown quarantine period for doing different things and it looks like director Karthick Naren has come up with his own solution! The young and talented director Karthick Naren burst on to the scene with a sensational debut in the 2016 release Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru! He then completed Naragasooran but the movie is yet to see the day of light! Karthick however moved onto his next project - Mafia: Chapter 1 and this Arun Vijay, Prasanna & Priya Bhavani Shankar starrer hit the screens on 21st February, 2020!

Mafia: Chapter 1 is now available for legal online viewing through the Amazon Prime OTT platform! Director Karthick Naren has taken to his Twitter handle to decode Mafia for us and reveal some hidden secrets, easter eggs & homages from the movie, which might have otherwise gone unnoticed! Karthick had earlier revealed that his favourite series Narcos had been one of his inspirations behind Mafia and in his decoding section he has gone on to reveal quite a bit about the movie! Though the action flick did not do as well as expected, it still got a lot of good reviews and has had a very good reception online as well.
