Recently, a section of North Indian media had reported saying that Bigil incurred a loss of 20 crores for the producer and this news created a huge buzz and confusion among the fans on social media. However, the film's creative producer, Archana Kalpathi from AGS Entertainment denied the news as a baseless rumour and clarified that Bigil was a profitable venture for their production house. She cleared the air by tweeting, "Yes. @republic please fact check this article. Thank you 🙏". Through this tweet, it is evident that Archana Kalpathi and AGS Entertainment are very much happy with the box office performance of Bigil. The film which released for last year's Diwali received a good reception from Vijay fans and the family audience, especially for Rayappan's character.
