Anushka Shetty's Nishabdham release postponed to February 20

Actress Anushka Shetty became a nationwide darling after delivering sensational performances in SS Rajamouli's Baahubali films and was last seen in a leading role in the 2018 Tamil-Telugu thriller, Bhaagamathie, under G. Ashok's direction. Post the release of Bhaagamathie, there had been quite a lot of chatter about the popular actress tying the knot and settling down before she portrayed Jhansi Maharani Lakshmi Bai in a cameo appearance in last year's Chiranjeevi starrer, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Likewise, it was also announced that Anushka Shetty is playing the role of a deaf and mute woman in a film titled, Nishabdham in Tamil and Telugu, which will also be coming out in English under the title, Silence.

Directed by Hemant Madhukar, Nishabdham, was earlier announced to be coming out in theatres worldwide on January 31, but has now been postponed to February 20, according to latest reports. Interest for Nishabdham skyrocketed after an intense teaser featuring Anushka opposite Madhavan was unveiled a back leaving many fans excited for the full-fledged return of the leading actress.

Apart from Anushka Shetty and Madhavan, Nishabdham produced jointly by People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation banners also includes in its star cast several notable names like Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Srinivas Avasarala, Subbaraju and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen in major supporting roles.
