Popular south Indian actress Amala Paul is known for her roles in Dhanush’s VIP films and was last seen in Vishnu Vishal’s blockbuster Ratsasan towards the end of 2018. The actress next has a line of films that include Adho Andha Paravai Pola, Aadai, Aadujeevitham in Malayalam among others.
Meanwhile, Amala Paul is now all set to play the role of a forensic pathologist named Dr. Badra in the upcoming film titled Cadaver under Anoop Panicker's direction with the screenplay by Abhilash Pillai. It has been revealed that the actress had to undergo rigorous training for her role and has observed real-time forensic surgeons in action to get further insight into the profession.
Cadaver is loosely based on the novel, ‘Oru Police Surgeonate Ormakurippukal', written by Kerala’s most celebrated forensic surgeon, Dr. Umadathan’ with Amala Paul too stating she has read the book to garner more details about the story.
The biggest highlight of Cadaver is that Amala Paul has turned a co-producer along with White Screen Media and AJ Films and the film will include music by Jakes Bejoy of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru fame.
Amala spoke about her role saying, “As an artist, I have spent a decade experimenting with voguish and commercial roles. Now, I believe that i have much more clarity in choosing roles that elevate me as an actor. I enjoy belonging to different characters, as this has become my greatest motivation to as an actor.”
She also opened up on her role as the producer stating, “This is a film that cannot be shot at a shoestring budget for it involves lots of factors. I felt it is my priority to support this film behind just an artiste. I wanted to support my producers Pradeep kumar and Ajay Panicker who were as passionate as iam about the script and the film. I am thankful to them for accommodating me as a co-producer.”
Actress Amala Paul winds up saying that she will be seen in a new look, which she believes audiences will be surprised at. Her look from the movie is kept as a secret, as she was sporting a bandana to conceal her look.
The star-cast comprises of Athulya, Harish Uthaman, Ramesh Khanna, Vinodh Inbaraj and many more familiar actors. The movie kickstarted with an official pooja with the cast and crew present at the event.
