The highly talented Amala Paul is waiting for the release of Adho Andha Paravai Pola which has been bankrolled by Jones under the Century International Films banner and is being released by SDC Picturez banner. The film was supposed to release on February 14th but was later postponed. This heroine-centric movie is an action thriller for which Amala Paul has learnt the martial art form of Krav Maga. She even injured herself while performing an action sequence but resumed shoot as soon as she recovered.

Amala Paul was offered to star in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus historical entertainer Ponniyin Selvan. The Aadai actress politely turned down the ace director’s request. During a recent interview, Amala Paul has revealed why she refused to star in Ponniyin Selvan - “Not everyone can act in every film. I felt I can't do justice to the role in Mani sir's Ponniyin Selvan. I felt it's better to not do a role which doesn't suit me and face unnecessary criticism later. I hope that I'll get another opportunity to act in Mani sir's film in the future.”
