Earlier this week, it was revealed that actress Megha Akash of Petta, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven and the upcoming Enai Noki Paayum Thota fame was replacing Amala Paul in Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming film, tentatively titled VSP 33. Being directed by newcomer Venkata Krishna Roghanth under Esakki Durai's Chandaraa Arts banner, it was stated that Amala Paul had stepped out of the film owing to dates and call sheet issues. However, the popular actress has now issued a detailed official statement saying she was ousted from VSP 33 for not being "production-friendly" while also alleging that the reason for her ejection could be due to the release of the Aadai teaser. Check out her complete statement below:

Amala Paul's accusations will no doubt come as a huge shock to her fans, who were quite hyped when she was announced to be a part of VSP 33. In her statement, the actress did however go on to say no harm was intended towards Vijay Sethupathi as she was eager to work with him and that she has issued the statement to address the rumors being spread around by Chandaraa Arts about her unprofessional conduct. As of now, no counter statement has been issued by Chandaraa Arts or anybody else associated with the film and it remains to be seen what kind of response will be made next.
VSP 33 starring Vijay Sethupathi and Megha Akash will also include hit director Magizh Thirumeni making his acting debut, which many are speculating to be as the antagonist. The film has been billed to be a big budget blockbuster with music by Nivas K. Prasanna and the shoot already underway at Palani with plans for the next schedule to take place at Ooty. Apart from the lead stars, it was announced during the film's launch that a foreigner too will be cast as another lead against Vijay Sethupathi.
