It is already known that Amala Paul ad Fahad Faasil were in trouble for alleged tax evasion on the luxury cars they had registered in the Union Territory of Puducherry. The allegation was that the two actos hadbought luxury cars and to evade a high amount of tax registered it in Pondicherry. Now, reports state that the Crime Branch has closed the cases for these allegations against the actors. A closure report was submitted by the Crime Branch to the Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court recently, according to reports.
Reports state that according to the Crime branch Officers, both actors had purchased their luxury cars from outside the state and thus there were no losses due to this. Amala Paul had purchased her luxury vehicle from Bengaluru, it was found that Fahadh Faasil had purchased his cars from Bengaluru and Delhi. Fahadh even changed his registration to Kerala and paid the correct amount of tax. In Amala’s case, the cost of her car is said to be around 1.25 crores. This means she would have to pay a huge sum of money instead of the menial tax she paid.
While Amala and Fahash can heave a sigh of relief, actor-turned politician Suresh Gopi was also caught for the same issue, His case is still on and is being investigated.
