Valimai has been carrying tremendous expectations ever since the film was announced in 2019 and marks the second consecutive time Ajith is collaborating with director H. Vinoth, producer Boney Kapoor, and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja after their blockbuster courtroom action drama, Nerkonda Paarvai. Promotions for Valimai have been a subject of huge discussion as fans had to wait a long time initially to get their first glimpse of the visuals in the film. The Valimai glimpse, which was released in September, received phenomenal feedback from fans, who are now singing praises for Ajith and his efforts in nailing the daredevil stunts that were featured in the making video that came out recently.
Valimai has Ajith sharing screen space with Huma S. Qureshi who is playing the female lead, followed by Telugu actor Kartikeya cast as the antagonist, and Bani, Sumithra, Achyunth Kumar, Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, Pugazh among others in supporting roles. The excitement among Ajith's fans for the upcoming film has been visible on social media as many are posting their own theories on what to expect when it hits theatres next month. All sights are now on Ajith to deliver yet another blockbuster with Valimai after his last two films - Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai - turned out to be raging money-spinners.
