Ajith Kumar is one of the most popular actors in the Tamil film Industry who has acted in over 60 films in his career. He has done film predominantly in Tamil. The father of the actor P.Subaramaiam aka P.S. Mani passed away due to ill health on 24th March. Following his demise, Ajith Kumar's family released a statement that said their father was taking treatment for various health-related ailments and lost his life in sleep in the early hours of that day. Many important persons including the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ministers, and leadiing actors sent their condolences to the actor and some also visited Ajith Kumar's house in person to offer their condolences.

Former Minister of Health of Tamil Nadu Dr C. Vijayabaskar has recently made a post saying he visited Ajith Kumar in his house recently and paid his condolences to the General Secretary of AIADMK, Edappadi K Palaniswami. The minister's tweet said “Following the death of the loving father of one of the leading actors of Tamil Cinema, Mr. Ajith Kumar, on behalf of Brother Edappadi K Palaniswamy, myself and former minister brother Kadambur Raju visited his residence and paid our condolences. We interacted for nearly one hour and got the opportunity to discuss various topics. Experience, Maturity was visible in his speech and it reflected reality, truth and a pure heart to help the helpless in his thought, Which is highly commendable.” He also stated another proverb that meant thoughts pave way to life and thoughts is life. He continued to say “May he continue with the blessing of his loving father and win”.
