Speaking about how his role has shaped in Thunivu, Mohana Sundaram revealed that Ajith had at one point during the film's shooting given him a suggestion to deal with negativity. He also shed light on how H. Vinoth had introduced him to the Tamil superstar and said, "He's a pattimandram speaker and speaks humorously. Whoever argues with him, he will create a ruckus." Stating that Ajith went on to process only the last part of how Thunivu's director had introduced him, Mohana Sundaram then revealed he and the Tamil superstar would have several fun interactions during the shooting. "He would tell me not to share what we speak during any pattimandram debate," Mohana Sundaram said with a big laugh. Regarding his own line of work in pattimandram debates, the veteran speaker opened up on how some comments for his speeches on YouTube have left him disheartened and demoralized. Mohana Sundaram then informed that Ajith had given him a small, but important and timely advice to deal with the negativity saying, "Do not worry about the comments. If we do our work properly for the salary we are getting, that is enough."
