Ajay Devgn is currently riding the high horse with Drishyam 2 which is performing very well at the box office. Recently, the teaser of his upcoming film Bholaa has been getting a lot of attention and it has been very positive. According to a certain source, a piece of new information has been dropped that confirms that Ajay is planning a sequel to his action entertainer. His team has already started working on the script for the sequel as well.
While Bholaa is the official Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's 2019 action thriller film Kaithi starring Karthi, its sequel will be a fresh script. A rumor is now making rounds that Ajay has approached Salman Khan for the film’s sequel. According to Mid-Day, “In Bholaa, Ajay plays a released convict, who helps the police to catch gangsters, in exchange for seeing his daughter. While it is a remake of Kaithi (2019), significant changes have been made to the story by writers Amil Keeyan Khan and Sandeep Kewlani to appeal to the north-Indian audience. Going forward, the second part will not be in the Lokesh Universe, instead taking its own route. This is where Ajay wants Salman to come in, playing a crucial role alongside his protagonist. The second and third parts will not necessarily be titled Bholaa, but will be set in the same universe.”
This rumor has been going viral all over various social media platforms and fans are more than excited about the idea of two of the biggest action stars in Bollywood coming together to dominate the screen. However, Devgn’s team have denied the report of the him approaching Salman for the aforementioned sequel. Their statement reads, “There are news reports doing rounds in the media about Ajay Devgn approaching Salman Khan for Bholaa sequel. Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn share a great rapport & friendship, however, Ajay has not approached him for the sequel of Bholaa. Currently, Ajay Sir is busy with the post-production of his directorial Bholaa.”
Ajay and Salman have previously worked together in 1999's romantic drama Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam as well as on the 2009 musical drama film London Dreams. It would have definitely been interesting to see Ajay and Salman reuniting for an action flick.
