Leading Tamil actor Aishwarya Rajesh penned a heartfelt statement about her beloved mother Nagamani on the occasion of being felicitated by Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi on International Mother's Day at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday. The actress took to social media and posted a photo of her mother receiving a memento from the Governor at the Governor's Residence for her efforts in making her excel in the field of acting. Sharing a screenshot of her brother Manikanta Rajesh's Instagram Story, Aishwarya Rajesh wrote on Twitter, "As a daughter, this will be a moment that I will cherish for life! This memento, which was presented to my mother #Nagamani as a  recognition of her sacrifice and her contribution in bringing out my excellence in acting, by none other than the honourable Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi sir on the occasion of Mothers' Day today at the @rajbhavan_tn will be among my most treasured trophies! I wholeheartedly thank the honourable governor for this recognition!"

Aishwarya Rajesh, who has often spoken about her mother's role in her success, recently in an interview with Galatta during the promotions of her latest film, Farhana, opened up about the award and how she initially thought it was for her when she received the call for the first time. Upon learning that the award was for her mother, the actress explained that the felicitation would take place on Mother's Day at the Raj Bhavan. Revealing that her mother was extremely happy about the news, Aishwarya Rajesh went on to speak about how her mother is a strong and bold woman, and also shed light on her struggles in raising her and making her the woman she is today while adding that she has always seen her a fearless person. 

On the work front, Aishwarya Rajesh is being showered with praises for her performance in Farhana directed by Nelson Venkatesan of Oru Naal Koothu (2016) and Monster (2019) fame. Audiences and critics have been complimenting the actress for yet another powerful performance along the lines of her previous roles in films Kaaka Muttai (2015), Dharma Durai (2016), Vada Chennai (2018), and Ka Pae Ranasingam (2020) to name a notable few. As for her upcoming films, Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen next in Tamil in Theera Kadhal with Jai and Sshivada releasing on May 26, followed by several big projects lined up ahead in various stages of production among which are the 'Action King' Arjun-starrer Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga and Vishnu Vishal's Mohandas, including an appearance in a key role in 'Chiyaan' Vikram's highly-anticipated Dhruva Natchathiram directed by Gautham Menon and the long-delayed Idam Porul Yaeval alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Vishnu Vishal.
